Senior Analyst - Finance Operations

 Conduct detailed cost analysis for new products, including material, labor, and overhead.
 Understand and apply accurate program costs to enable recommended manufacturer suggested retail pricing.
 Analyze cost variances and identify root causes for discrepancies.
 Develop and maintain cost databases and models to support ongoing product costing activities.
 Develop and maintain cost estimation models to support product development and pricing strategies.
 Prepare cost estimates for updates to existing products.
 Ensure cost estimates are accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with company objectives.
 Introduce automation and enhanced technologies and processes to costing and communication.
 Develops business cases and financial models to support new business initiatives and partnerships.
 Assists product management teams in financial planning and analysis related to product development and launches.
 Collaborate with Product Management to incorporate market and competitive pricing strategies into cost models.
 Work closely with Engineering to understand product specifications and manufacturing processes.
 Partner with Finance to align costing methodologies with financial reporting and budgeting.
 Coordinate with Operations and/or Operations Finance to gather data on production efficiencies and potential cost-saving measures.
 Provides financial insights and recommendations to optimize product pricing, cost structures, and profitability in the product development process.
 Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed changes to materials, processes, or designs.
 Implement cost-saving initiatives and track their impact on overall product costs.
 Monitors and analyzes key financial and operational metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement; Prepare and present cost reports and analyses to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
 Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate cost data effectively.
 Provide regular updates on cost performance against targets and benchmarks.
 Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts related to product costs.
 Monitor actual costs against budgeted figures and report variances.
 Ensure all costing activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
 Maintain documentation and records to support audit and compliance requirements.
 Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in product costing and financial analysis.
 Performs other duties as assigned and special project work under manager's instruction and supervision.
Requirements: Â An undergraduate degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field. Â 3-5 years of experience in product costing, financial analysis, or product management support. Â Proven experience in product costing and financial modeling or business case development. Â Experience in a high-growth or dynamic industry preferred. Â Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Â Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Â Excellent financial modeling and data analysis capabilities. Â Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. Â Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies. Â Effective communication (written and verbal); clearly, concisely and with context communicate objectives and expectations within the organization. Â Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff. Â Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Â Strong presentation skills. Â Ability to travel 20% annually (domestic). Â Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus
