About the position

The position involves maintaining and ensuring complete and appropriate drug therapy in a multidisciplinary pharmaceutical care environment. The role includes preparing, dispensing, and verifying medications for patients, assessing and monitoring drug therapy, and providing drug information and patient education.

Responsibilities
• Evaluates all physician orders based on a clinical assessment of the patient.

• Assures the safe and accurate preparation and dispensing of medications including sterile products and investigational drugs.

• Manages drug therapy to optimize patient outcomes.
,
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge through continuing education.
,
• Manages the operations of the pharmacy in compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy and communication styles.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field required.
,
• Current Pharmacy license in the state of practice required.
,
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
,
• Proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
,
• Skills necessary to compound pharmaceuticals and operate technical equipment.

Nice-to-haves
• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) preferred.
