SBD is looking for a dedicated Property Accountant. Are you the one? The Property Accountant works closely with other internal teams cross-functionally to produce and provide accurate financial statements to owners, investors, and more. Responsibilities: Here's what a day in the life of a Property Accountant looks like:  Responsible for all aspects of Accounts Payable, including but not limited to 1099 and vendor processing.  Assist with month-end processes and financial packages.  Assist the Property Management team in maintaining budget and financial expectations.  Assist in the coordination of new property financial onboarding.  Process owner contribution and distribution of capital.  Participate in the full-cycle accounting process.  Reconcile monthly bank accounts and process payables.  Preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.  Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to various stakeholders.  Compile and oversee the progression of lease-up budgets throughout the leasing period.  Assist with monthly cash flow projections.  Complete monthly budget variance reports.  Prepare general ledger journal entries and reconciliations for assigned portfolios.  Recording of monthly rents, management fees, maintenance revenue, property expenses, and improvements.  Assist in the preparation of annual budgets.  Assist with any other administrative tasks or projects needed. Qualifications: What you bring to the table:  BachelorÂs in Accounting or Finance  Producer of highly precise and accurate work.  Skilled problem-solving and critical thinking skills.  Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Office. And it would be really cool if you had:  Understanding of property management in relation to financial accounting, recoveries, budgeting, and forecasting.  Knowledge of property management systems, RentManager.  Understanding of Fair Housing laws and guidelines.
