The Senior Accountant at Seattle Children's Hospital is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining various accounting systems, including journal entries, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and revenue reconciliation. This role requires a seasoned professional who can analyze diverse financial data, interpret reporting requirements, and resolve complex issues while ensuring compliance with industry practices and company policies. Responsibilities
 Develops, implements, and maintains accounting systems including journal entries, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and revenue reconciliation.

 Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations.

 Analyzes diverse financial data to evaluate identifiable factors and resolve issues.

 Performs complicated tasks, assessing audit and compliance risks.

 Uses industry knowledge and company policies to resolve a wide range of issues.

 May direct lower-level accountants or accounting clerks.
Requirements
 Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or commensurate experience.

 Minimum five (5) years of experience in accounting.
Nice-to-haves
 Experience in nonprofit organizations.

 Healthcare experience.

 CPA and/or CMA certification and public accounting experience.

 Proficiency with large accounting systems (i.e., Lawson).
