Government Guaranteed Lending Liaison

 Hanover Bank is looking for a full-time Government Guaranteed Lending Liaison.
 The position reports directly to the Government Guaranteed Lending Manager.
 The role involves liaising between the customer, Business Development Officer, and Broker while preparing loan files for underwriting and SBA submission.
 The Government Guaranteed Lending Liaison ensures that all necessary items for underwriting and submission are received, reviewed, and uploaded to the bankÂs internal system.
Responsibilities: Â Works with Loan Officers/BDOs and Underwriting Department to coordinate SBA loan packaging/origination in conformance with the SBA SOP. Â Makes recommendations for procedural changes to increase efficiency. Â Ensures customer privacy, file security, and appropriate staff access. Â Attends periodic SBA training and completes ABA training requirements. Â Supports customer/broker/borrower with collecting documentation. Â Prepares and sends specific checklists based on loan types. Â Orders third-party reports such as appraisals, business valuations, and IRS tax verification. Â Performs due diligence including Lexis Nexis, SAM, CAIVRS, OFAC, and flood determinations. Â Reviews documents for accuracy and requests updates as necessary. Â Prepares term sheets and collects good faith deposits. Â Manages loan file workflow to ensure proper steps and effective pipeline management. Â Works with Government Guaranteed Lending Assistant to ensure items are ready for SBA submission. Â Works with closers to collect documentation when needed.
Requirements: Â Minimum 2 years of SBA origination experience for commercial loans. Â BachelorÂs degree preferred but not required. Â Knowledge of USDA, SBA 7a, 504, and Express Lines of Credit. Â Knowledge of SBA Standard Operating Procedures. Â Ability to promote a teamwork environment and solve problems independently. Â Effective communication with brokers, borrowers, SBA GGLS Team, and underwriters.
