RVP Mortgage Lending/Sales Manager

Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is currently seeking an RVP/Sales Manager of Mortgage Lending in the Indianapolis/Fort Wayne area. Significant mortgage loan origination and proven leadership/managerial skills are required. This could be a producing or non-producing manager role depending on experience and situation. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Responsible for growing the market for the credit union's assigned market/region. Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and exceeding internal and external service expectations, while meeting the production expectations of the organization.
• Recruit, hire, lead, and grow the MLO Team in region/market.
• Implement, manage and track goals for the individuals in the sales team.
• Mentor, monitor and coach sales staff to build referral network and meet sales goals.
• Work with the Leadership to forecast monthly/annual production volumes and goals. Develop, recommend for approval, and implement strategy for achieving production goals.
• Provide assistance in resolving borrower problems and concerns.
• Continually build new business and member relations by representing and promoting the credit union at external functions while maintaining a positive and professional image.
• Conduct research, analyze, and make recommendations for product enhancements and new mortgage programs.
• Demonstrate commitment to technology by maximizing the use of current technology platforms to provide the appropriate delivery and efficiency needed for your teams.
• Keep leadership informed of mortgage origination activities, needs, and issues. Prepare and submit applicable loan reports.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Provide exceptional member service.

Qualifications: • Minimum 5 years of previous mortgage loan origination experience. • Minimum 3 years in a leadership or managerial role leading a sales team. • NMLS licensing and continuing education is required. • Working knowledge of conventional and government loan programs. • Experience with CRM and LOS system preferred. • Excellent time management skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills. • Utilize automated UW systems, LOS system, email and other technologies to issue point of sales approvals, lock-ins, and for member service and follow up purposes.
