Statement of Job Duty
As a Senior Bookkeeper / Reviewer, you will be responsible for overseeing the accuracy of bookkeeping tasks performed by our junior bookkeepers. You will also assist with financial analysis for clients and occasionally meet with them for financial reviews or providing other assistance. Additionally, you will train and mentor bookkeeping staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Type of Position
W-2 employee
Part-time, 6-10 hours per week, with the opportunity to reach up to 20 hours/week

Job Responsibilities
 Conduct quality checks in Keeper and QBO and provide feedback for improvements
 Monitor and ensure the accuracy of bookkeeping tasks performed by junior fbookkeepers
 Train and mentor bookkeeping staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in bookkeeping practices
 Enter advanced bookkeeping entries, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation
 Assist with Gusto or other payroll software set up & maintenance for clients
 Create and review financial reports
 Mention apples somewhere in your application
 Meet with clients on Zoom to help onboard, review financials, or have other necessary discussions
 Keep accurate records and information about each client
 Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations, industry standards, and best practices to ensure compliance
 Create SOPs (standard operating procedures) as needed for your role and duties
 Update the Account Manager on the status of client work and any delays
 Maintain confidentiality of clients' information and ensure you handle all necessary sensitive data in an appropriate manner
You may also be asked to assist in some of the following work:
 Support the Junior Bookkeepers and Account Managers with various tasks
 Perform month-end close with accuracy
 Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards, troubleshoot any errors in reconciliation
 Request documentation and information from clients and ensure consistent follow-ups to retrieve necessary information
 Review and code receipts, invoices, and bills in Dext or similar software
 Fill out monthly Quality Control forms with detail

Requirements
 Education: High school diploma or equivalent AND Bookkeeper Launch Certification, OR Accounting Degree
 Other Certifications: QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor
 Experience: Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience in general or 3 years in construction bookkeeping
 Skills: Skilled at using QuickBooks Online and Keeper
 Time: Ability to join a bi-weekly team meeting on Zoom

Additional Information
Initially, you may be asked to perform the tasks a Junior Bookkeeper would normally handle so that you can become familiar with our clients.
This is a remote position, but candidates must be available for occasional meetings with clients via Zoom
