The Strategic Account Manager I (ÂSAM IÂ) will be responsible for managing and developing customer relationships and growing business with Henry ScheinÂs most strategic high-profile customers. This individual will be responsible for internal and external support on strategy, execution, and results of the assigned strategic accounts. The SAM I will nurture, support and sustain positive and productive long-term relationships to optimize the customerÂs return on investment in Henry ScheinÂs value proposition and vast portfolio of products and services. The SAM I will assist with creation of innovative programs to diversify Henry ScheinÂs market position and strengthen HSIÂs customer partnerships and connectivity. This position will drive products/services expansion across Henry ScheinÂs distribution business and the entire Henry Schein portfolio, and overall customer experience. The individual will report to the Sr. Manager assigned to a group of accounts. The SAM I will partner closely across the Henry Schein team including the customer delivery team, customer care team, merchandise team, operations team, equipment and service teams, field team, and partners at the individual portfolio companies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Strategic Account Management  Provide internal and external leadership for account management planning and execution.  Customer Relationship Building  Support and reinforce customer loyalty through Henry ScheinÂs best-in-class support teams, products, and services.  Contract Management  Assist and support Henry Schein team with RFPs, contract design, and renewals by focusing on growth opportunities and profitability performance. Continue to support and drive customer engagement activities and promote contract compliance.  Account Team Leader  Develop a partnership with key customer contacts and internal support teams.  Reporting  Collect and utilize available data to generate account-level insights, analyze trends and identify opportunities to elevate to the customer.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
 Experience in sales and large account management
 Displays effective rapport building skills within the company and industry
 Understanding of healthcare industry trends and multi-site operations
 Ability to drive influence and change through tactical empathy and strong emotional intelligence
 Proactively identify issues/opportunities and recommends actions to the customer
 Demonstrate ability to provide support on account strategy plans
 Strategic thinker in complex and value sustaining proposals to large, strategic customers
 Understanding of the entire Henry Schein offering
 Team player who can support large teams across the organization and create a productive working environment to support customer success
 High degree of comfort managing multiple, competing priorities in challenging environments
 Demonstrates understanding of the Customer Experience and supports ongoing forums that encourage a constant feedback loop

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 5 to 7 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus. May hold one or more industry certifications; professional certification may be required to advance.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
At the start of the role, there will be more travel required to establish and strengthen relationships with customers. As these relationships develop, travel will decrease to the typical range of 20-30%.
The posted range for this position is $71,993 - $98,990 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
At the time of this posting, this position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range subject to the achievement of the plan.
