About You
We're seeking a Director, Inventory Accounting to join our team. You're a natural leader with a comprehensive understanding of the retail manufacturing arena, from inventory planning and replenishment, to high-level financial planning and analysis within a manufacturing or eCommerce company. You will be working closely with the Accounting Team, Supply Chain, Operations and other business partners, and be responsible for accurate and timely inventory data management. In addition, you will lead inventory-related projects and reporting activities, as requested.
Responsibilities: Â Act as a subject matter expert for Reporting, Inventory and Process Controls. Â Build out and implement plans for international expansion into new markets. Â 3rd Party Logistics Reporting Specialist: Oversee and perform the reconciliation of data between the company's third-party logistics providers and our internal systems. Â Responsible for Month End Close as it relates to the Inventory. Â Accountable for the process of SKU creation and Bill of Material Management. Â Lead the Inventory Accounting team on new processes, business initiatives and assist with the ERP implementation-MS Dynamics. Â Responsible for the Inventory in Transit process to ensure proper calculations. Â Ensure timely and accurate quarterly counts across 20+ warehouses. Â Perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed for the team.
Requirements:  Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required  CPA or CMA certification preferred  8+ years experience in inventory/cost accounting, with a minimum of 5 years of recent experience in a manufacturing environment within a CPG/Retail/eCommerce company  5+ years of experience leading and coaching a team  Possess a strong understanding of manufacturing, retail operations, and inventory accounting within a company with 500+ sku's, ranging between raw materials, WIP and finished goods, both domestic and international  Ability to travel up to 3 days per quarter, for cycle counts  Previous experience with Quickbooks  Knowledge and experience with 3PL's  Demonstrated knowledge of ERP systems, such as MS Dynamics  Advanced Excel Skills  Strong analytical and problem solving skills
