Remote, USA Full-time Immediate Start

About the position

The Auto Club Group is seeking a Claim Representative I to join our team, where you will handle low complexity claims under close supervision. This role is designed for individuals who are looking to start their career in claims handling and will involve a lower level of claim-handling authority. As a Claim Representative I, you will be responsible for various aspects of the claims lifecycle, including reviewing assigned claims, contacting the insured and other affected parties, and setting expectations for the remainder of the claim process. You will also initiate documentation in the claims handling system and conduct a general coverage analysis to determine the applicability of policy coverages and provisions to the reported loss. In this position, you will ensure that all possible policyholder benefits are identified, create additional sub-claims if necessary, and refer complex claims to management or the appropriate claim handler. You will conduct thorough investigations of the facts regarding the claim to determine if it should be paid, evaluate the financial value of the loss, and approve payments for the appropriate parties. Additionally, you will document and code the claim file thoroughly and complete all claim closure and related activities in the assigned claims management system. The work environment for this position is currently remote, allowing you to operate from a home office. However, occasional travel may be required for meetings, collaborative activities, or team-building events, as specified by leadership. This flexibility is subject to change based on the ACG Flex Work policy. With the support of our powerful brand and the mentoring we provide, your role as a Claims Representative I can lead to a rewarding career within our growing organization.
