Senior Accountant with Advanced QuickBooks Expertise

Position Summary: This role requires advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work assertively to meet deadlines and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities: • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP. • General Ledger Management: Month-end and year-end close processes. • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Ensure timely processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions. • Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash balances. • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, providing variance analyses as needed. • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting department. • Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks; certification is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work assertively and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in the engineering or manufacturing industry.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software integrations.
