Senior Accountant with Advanced QuickBooks Expertise
Posted 2025-04-06Position Summary: This role requires advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work assertively to meet deadlines and drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities: Â Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Â General Ledger Management: Month-end and year-end close processes. Â Accounts Payable and Receivable: Ensure timely processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions. Â Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash balances. Â Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, providing variance analyses as needed. Â Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Â Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting department. Â Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications: Â BachelorÂs degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
 Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks; certification is a plus.
 Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
 Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
 Demonstrated ability to work assertively and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
 Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in the engineering or manufacturing industry.
 Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software integrations.
