Job description: Sentara Healthcare is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Sr. Planner/Strategist.
Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET). Travel to VA Beach approx. 1x a quarter.
Job Responsibilities:
Incorporates strategic goals of Sentara into this process, bringing forward final recommendations from the strategy team that at times may differ from the perspective of individual/collective operations constituents.
Assumes responsibilities related to the development of the corporate strategic plan and/or specific strategic or business planning projects.
For these assignments, will facilitate project specific multi-disciplinary teams from throughout the organization and will utilize planning, strategy and business knowledge skills to accomplish strategic or business goals.
Develops, executes and controls detailed work plans, schedules and periodic reporting of progress against established project timeframes.
Develops project/process templates that will provide a framework to assist other members of the strategy team in knowledge transfer in an effort to minimize duplication of activities within the department.
Required qualifications:
Master's degree in Health Administration, Marketing, Public Health, or Business Administration/Management Required.
5 years of Strategy and Planning within a healthcare entity Required.
Ability to independently make formal recommendations to leaders and engage a range of stakeholders to gather feedback and gain buy-in for recommendations.
10 years strategic planning plus bachelors level degree in place of Master's may be considered.
Experience in COPN submissions, advanced financial and information systems, leadership and healthcare
