Our biggest client is seeking Remote Pharmacists in Michigan, Vermont, North Carolina, Alabama, Maine, and Georgia for a 6 month contract to hire role from November 11 to April 2025 (then based on your performance you can be hired on as a full time employee)! Must reside in one of the states listed and be a licensed pharmacist in that state!

Job Details:

Title: Remote Pharmacist (Prior authorization)
Location: FULLY REMOTE - no travel, all equipment provided.

  • Must live and be licensed in one of these states:
  • Michigan, Vermont, North Carolina, Alabama, Maine, and Georgia.Type of Engagement: Contract to hire - start date 11/11Duration: November 11th
  • April 2025 (6 month contract then can be hired on permanently)

Specific Duties:
• Decisioning and processing member prescriptions or prior authorizations through various computer systems ensuring the accuracy of all data and updating as necessary.
• Work is computer based and includes receiving phone calls from prior authorization pharmacy technicians and/or providers for clinical information.
• Consult physicians/providers with questions, interpret clinical guideline criteria, and render/review coverage determination for prior authorization cases.
• Consult with pharmacy technicians and/or physicians regarding use of medications and advise of appropriate formulary alternatives when requested.
• Gather complex clinical information, coverage policy and criteria information and work within regulatory guidelines to make coverage determinations.
• Organize workload, set priorities, complete assignments in a timely manner and utilize resources appropriately while complying with department program standards.
• Perform all duties and functions in compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Conform with and support department quality assurance and improvement guidelines.
• Dedication to build rapport with coworkers, internal customers, and other departments by demonstrating a strong customer service orientation and a continuous positive image of our client.
• Demonstrate ability to maintain productive working relationships with team members, other internal and external customers, and management team.
• Safety is paramount and it’s important for employees to have a safe and secure workspace and communicate with their leadership when that safety (equipment, system, information) is compromised.

Must have qualifications/experience:
• Pharmacist License in the state of residence.
• Candidate must have their own home internet access/VPN (internet can be hard wired with Ethernet cord).
• Candidate must also have a secure workspace/office in their home.
• Candidate must have level skill with working with PC (ex. using mouse and keyboard, accessing and navigating through multiple systems and screens).
• Excellent Attendance is a must.

Hours:
• Training hours will be 9-5:30pm EST Monday-Friday. No time off at all during training.
• After training 10:30am-7pm EST Monday-Friday.
• There is scheduled Overtime and working on Holidays. Dependent on business needs, candidate could work up to 4 hours a day OT.Skills
