Claims Adjuster- Casualty Litigation

As a claim adjuster of casualty litigation, youÂll manage complex, high-exposure commercial claim investigations. In this role, claims will involve high complexity coverage interpretation, liability investigation, multiple vehicles, competing claims, property, pedestrians, uninsured or underinsured, potential extra-contractual, litigation or significant injuries. Commercial Lines experience not required.
This is a remote position with occasional travel to an office for a meeting and/or training. If you are interested, youÂll also have the option to work a hybrid or full-time office schedule depending on your location.
Duties and responsibilities
 Direction over counsel through litigation process
 Direct experts in other disciplines (scene reconstruction, civil engineering, forensics, biomechanics, etc.)
 Conduct negotiations including mediations, arbitrations and trials
 Use state regulatory and statutory requirements knowledge for a multi-state region
 Evaluate claims with a focus on mitigation of risk
 Present at roundtables; provide recommendations to senior decision-makers for settlement and reserving on the highest complexity files
 Travel may be required
Must-have qualifications
 Six years of relevant work experience with three years in claims handling OR
 Three years in claims handling and a bachelorÂs degree OR
 Five years of relevant work experience with three years in claims handling and an associate degree
Preferred skills
 Attorney represented bodily injury experience.
 Demonstrated understanding of litigation process
 Auto coverage and liability experience
 Proven negotiation skills in a claims handling environment
 Demonstrated ability to learn and apply complex facts to case law and regulatory environments.
Compensation
 $93,000 - $105,700/year
 Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 24% of eligible earnings based on company performance
