The Role:
Â
As a Staff Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning and facilitating the execution of Yubicoâs strategic initiatives projects with key stakeholders across Yubico. The role will also work with Business Analysts to guide changes to Yubicoâs business and technical environment. This role is ideal for someone who has demonstrable success executing complex projects within a global organization. The right candidate will have an opportunity to establish and own Yubicoâs project management lifecycle and associated processes.
- Process Development: Collaborate with Yubicoâs program and product managers to define, implement, and mature the project management lifecycle and associated processes
- Project Management: Organize, coordinate, and facilitate the work of project team(s) and serve as liaison between business and technical teams, which includes planning project stages and assessing business implications for each stage ensuring timely and in budget delivery of the project
- Planning: With the support of business analysts, draft project plans, resource strategies, and funding estimates required to advance each defined effort. Ensure functional areas subject matter experts are appropriately represented
- Project Risk: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that may negatively affect the outcomes of the project, including budget, effort, and timeline.
- Mentor and Train: Mentor more junior team members and conduct workshops and project management training to leaders across the business
- Change Manager: Serve as the change manager for the Change Advisory Board (CAB) responsible for coordinating and aligning stakeholders as part of the change management process
- Trust:Â Earn trust through regular communication with stakeholders of all levels
- 8 years of experience leading projects across multiple functional areas
- Able to disambiguate desired outcomes, with the support of subject matter experts, to develop a plan to achieve those outcomes
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Experience identifying and treating project risks
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Experience in managing relationships with senior leadership
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams in a global organization.
- Previous experience establishing a project management office and a project management lifecycle.
- Demonstrable success leading projects in both an agile and waterfall methodology.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or similar certification
- A command of Google Workspaces, Jira, and Confluence
- Experience developing the materials (e.g. guidance and templates) and training to support others in their ability to effectively lead projectsâ
- Experience developing business cases with stakeholders to justify investment in maturing, reengineering, and transforming business processes
