Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Data Analyst | HR & Compensation Team to join a forward-thinking team focused on strategic compensation solutions for a variety of professional groups. This remote role requires residency in Southern California due to occasional on-site meetings and offers an exciting opportunity to blend data analysis with high-level stakeholder engagement.

The ideal candidate will excel in facilitating conversations, analyzing compensation data, and delivering impactful presentations to senior leaders, all while influencing critical business decisions.

Location: Remote, with quarterly on-site meetings in Southern California (additional ad-hoc travel may be required; expenses not reimbursed)

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement
• Lead and facilitate daily meetings with senior leaders (e.g., department heads or directors), driving discussions on compensation strategies and program development.
• Influence decision-making by presenting historical data, trends, and actionable recommendations, adeptly handling pushback from highly knowledgeable stakeholders.

Data Analysis
• Analyze pre-provided HR compensation datasets to identify trends, perform light data modeling, and uncover insights that inform strategic decisions.
• Leverage advanced Excel skills to manipulate and interpret data effectively.

Presentation Development
• Create polished, executive-ready PowerPoint presentations that translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives.
• Present findings and recommendations to leadership teams, confidently addressing questions and challenges.

Program Support
• Act as a consultant to professional groups, assisting in the design and rollout of compensation programs tailored to their unique needs.
• Collaborate with data providers to ensure accurate and timely information for analysis and reporting.

Meeting Management
• Prepare for and participate in a high volume of meetings, maintaining energy and focus in a fast-paced, interaction-heavy environment.

Qualifications

Must-Haves

Technical Skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, data modeling, trend analysis).
• Strong PowerPoint skills, with a proven ability to create clear, visually appealing presentations for senior audiences.

Soft Skills
• Exceptional executive presence and professional maturity to engage confidently with senior leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive conversations, even in the face of resistance.
• Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written), with a friendly yet assertive demeanor.

Location Requirement
• Must reside in Southern California (e.g., Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire, or San Diego) and be willing to commute occasionally for on-site meetings.

Nice-to-Haves
• Experience in healthcare or HR, particularly with compensation strategies (not required but highly advantageous).
• Familiarity with HR systems or databases (training provided if needed).
• Background as a data analyst or in a consultative role involving presentations to leadership.

• Travel expenses are the responsibility of the candidate; candidates should be comfortable commuting from their Southern California residence.
