What You'll Be Doing

As the Principal Product Manager, Insights at Recurly youâll be responsible for delivering on a variety of product outcomes and themes that will fortify Recurlyâs position as a leader in the subscription management and billing space. Weâre seeking an individual with deep data and AI experience who can evolve Recurly as a value-added partner by providing actionable insights customers can use to improve their subscription businessâs overall performance, surfacing best practices customers can execute to grow and retain their subscriber bases, and generating relevant content that make it dirt simple for customers to use Recurly. This roleâs success will be measured by their ability to increase subscriber LTV for our customers while maximizing their efficiency.

Responsibilities

Perform generative research on problem spaces/opportunity areas to ideate and prioritize innovative and differentiated customer-centric solutions and experiences that are insight or data driven; donât just be an âorder taker.â

Own, manage, and defend theme based visions that align to strategic objectives and deliver outcomes, not just outputs.

Be the subject matter in your area. Excite and motivate internal and external stakeholders with your vision and the outcomes you plan to deliver.

Look across all Recurly products, features, and functionality to creative innovative solutions that solve problems or realize opportunities holistically. Donât just own a feature, own a problem/opportunity.

Take big ideas and break them down into deliverable chunks of functionality that prioritize items with the highest ROI first (focus on getting value out to market quickly).

Work cross functionally and collaboratively with leaders on Technology, Marketing, Sales, and Customer teams to drive successful product launches and execute successfully on go-to-market strategies. This could include driving partnership conversations, analyzing costs, facilitating pricing strategies, competitive analysis, etc.

Be an exceptional communicator, both written and oral. As a Principal PM, it is important that information you share is catered for the audience (including execs) you are delivering it to.

Quantify your impact through KPIs and metrics and hold yourself accountable to the outcomes you are trying to achieve.

Own the outcome. Do whatever it takes to deliver your vision and drive the outcomes you desire.

Informally mentor/advise other members of the product team on process, roadmapping, etc.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience delivering product and features at a B2B Saas company including experience taking products from 0-1.

3 + years of experience owning data, insight, or analytics products

3+ years of experience using AI / ML services and technologies and/or working with data science teams to launch differentiated solutions and user experiences

Working knowledge of AI /ML services and concepts

Subscription billing and management experience (ideally managing features/products that drive subscriber acquisition, engagement, and lifetime value) is a nice to have.

Experience collaborating with engineering, data science, and technology teams to drive product development is a must.

Strong written and verbal communication skills that drive clarity and influence at the C-suite level as well drive successful collaboration and alignment across different levels of stakeholders across engineering, legal, compliance, marketing, operations, and finance.

Self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership to drive product success
