Senior Software Engineer - Python/Java (Remote)

The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for independently developing and consistently redesigning/refactoring a product to adapt to our customers and associates needs. As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team with engineers of all experience levels who help each other build and grow technical and leadership skills while creating, deploying, and supporting production applications. In addition, Sr. Software Engineers may be involved in product and tool selection, configuration, security, resilience, performance tuning and production monitoring as well as mentoring less experienced engineers.

Travel Requirements: Â No travel required.
Physical Requirements: Â Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
 Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications: Â Must be eighteen years of age or older. Â Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications: Â Design, develop, and maintain reliable, scalable, and performant RESTful APIs and GraphQL services using Java (Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux) for customer-facing applications. Â Contribute to the development and optimization of big data pipelines using Apache Spark, Apache Beam, and PySpark to support customer-facing API services. Â Collaborate with data scientists to implement and deploy machine learning models that enhance customer-facing API features and performance. Â Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring consideration for the high availability, scalability, and security of customer-facing systems. Â Mentor junior team members in building and maintaining high-quality, customer-facing APIs. Â Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define and prioritize features and improvements for customer-facing APIs. Â Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of systems, with a focus on meeting the requirements of customer-facing APIs.

 The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
