Global Treasury, a segment of the American Express Finance group, is responsible for managing a balance sheet that provides a competitive advantage for the company. This includes managing liquidity and capital to support our business; delivering cost-effective, diverse, and resilient funding; and identifying, measuring, and addressing financial and operational risks.
Global Treasury Operations, a segment of Global Treasury, ensures Amex has the right amount of money, at the right time, in the right place, in the appropriate currency to fulfill its financial obligations when they become due. The Intraday Cash Flow Management team is responsible for designing and monitoring the automated reporting of AmexÂs intraday cash flows.
The Director  Global Treasury Operations-Intraday Cash Flow Management will:
 Design and drive enhancements to AmexÂs intraday reporting that maintains industry standard reporting and provides incremental risk management value for the Company
 Partner with American Express Technologies and Global Treasury teams to develop and test all Intraday Reporting Platform enhancements
 Lead the Intraday Cash Flow Management Team in developing insightful reporting, utilizing data analytic and visualization tools
 Oversee all intraday reporting, ensuring appropriate monitoring thresholds and escalation protocols are maintained
 Collaborate with Treasury colleagues in monitoring cash flows in accordance with the CompanyÂs Liquidity Risk Management Framework
 Support the Company Payment Prioritization Framework by collaborating across business and finance teams ensuring protocols of the Framework remain effective
 Collaborate with Treasury teams to ensure intraday risks are well defined and controls are well documented and tested for effectiveness
 Assist on the broader Global Treasury Cash Flow Forecasting and Intraday Team in preparing Committee materials and responding to oversight groups and regulatory requests

The Director will play a key role in continuing to successfully develop best-in-class intraday reporting processes that supports the CompanyÂs needs as the business and balance sheet continue to grow. As a Director on our Global Treasury Operations team, you will collaborate with colleagues across Treasury, Finance, the Business, and Technologies to shape our reporting to drive ongoing risk management value for the Organization.
Essential Skills:
 We are seeking a planner with a proven track record of managing multiple initiatives while driving results
 The ideal candidate will have strong relationship building and collaborator skills. We are seeking someone who listens for challenges and focuses on developing creative solutions
 Someone with strong data analytic skills, including experience in SQL, Python, R and other similar tools
 A professional with strong financial acumen and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
 An experienced leader who attracts and develops top talent, providing growth opportunities for their team through coaching, empowerment and appropriate stretch goals
Minimum Qualifications:  7+ years of Treasury or financial experience  Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, operate effectively within large cross-functional teams and influence business partners to drive transformational change  Ability to manage multiple priorities, drive projects, improve processes, and work well under time-pressured deadlines  Highly proficient in data analytic and visualization tools as well as MS PowerPoint and Excel  Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills
Preferred Additional Qualifications:  Undergraduate degree in Business or Finance  MBA a plus  CTP a plus
Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
