Role Summary/Purpose:

The VP, Health & Wellness Analytics Pets and CoBrand Growth role will be responsible for developing strong analytic solutions to support the penetration and expansion of Pets markets, IPH partnership and Walgreens credit card portfolio.

The Health and Wellness platform drives $15+B in annual sales with 7+M active cardholders and a key driver of growth for Synchrony.

This role will lead all data & analytics efforts for Pets GM and leadership team, which will involve fostering strong partnerships with Health & Wellness senior leadership teams and partners from various functional leaders such as Sales, Marketing, Product, IT, Finance, Credit, Business Development as well as others. The role will be driving the Pets portfolio management, expansion, return on investment measurements and analyses, ensure profitable growth.

Essential Responsibilities: • Lead all analytics efforts to retain and grow existing Pets market, proactively identify underlying dynamics behind current trends to define risks and opportunities, and work with the Pets GM leadership team on solutions. • Strengthening existing provider network and unlock potentials of cross industry spend in this market. • Identify opportunities with IPH partnership through analytics and the understanding of various data source. • Define and support Walgreens’ analytical roadmap to grow the portfolio. Leverage the power of analytics to influence partner on growth opportunities. • Leverage insights across Analytics team within Health and Wellness (Marketing, Sales Team and Network Solutions) as well as Analytics COEs and Growth to guide GMs in strategy and areas of focus. • Foster strong partnership and engagement with both the internal SYF business teams and external partners teams • Manage, coach and develop a team of analytics professionals through training and hands on experiences. • Lead analytic team to deliver complex projects from beginning to end, including ideation, data mining, insight generation, and presentation of results and recommendations • Create "test and learn" culture through ongoing learning agenda, designs of experiments, and assessment of product and targeting strategies • Support streamlining of reporting as well as existing and • Support ad-hoc initiatives and projects as needed. new data sources.

Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, business, or other quantitative fields OR, in lieu of degree, a high school diploma/GED and 12+ years of data analytics experience in credit card and/or payments industry • A minimum of 9+ years of data analytics experience to include: • 5+ years of analytic leadership/managerial experience within Financial Services or payments industry • 5+ years of experience performing portfolio analytics, focused on key P&L drivers • 5+ years hands-on experience with SAS, Python, R, and/or SQL • 2+ years of leveraging external sources of data (i.e. retail transaction level data or similar)

Desired Characteristics:
• Master’s degree preferred
• Prior experience in leadership role supporting sales, marketing, business strategy development and implementation
• Ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and become a trusted business partner
• Experience developing and implementing marketing analytics and decision optimization capabilities to support business
• Ability to influence C-level executives and senior management by building and delivering compelling recommendations, advocating and influencing decision making
• Solid understanding of credit card industry financial P&L drivers and key sensitivities, with business performance reporting experience
• Experience providing analytical support for Dual Card / World sales portfolio is a plus
• Hands-on experience with data visualization/BI tools, e.g. Tableau, Birst, Power BI
• Ability to synthesize/analyze complex and diverse information and to develop and recommend strategies and communicate them clearly
• Ability to develop executable strategies, build and lead teams, articulate a clear vision, and deliver results at committed timeline
• Strong ability to engage with business teams and cross functional teams
• Experience with modeling/forecasting, and strong understanding of targeting and segmentation
• Strong project management, communications, multi-tasking, relationship management and influencing skills and the ability to work independently are critical to success
• Ability to influence business strategies and decisions based on analytic insight; Ability to foster partnership and/or influence senior corporate decision makers ?
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to engage effectively with a broad range of audiences including senior business leaders, senior analytics leaders, and highly technical talent
• Ability to develop executable strategies, build and lead teams, articulate a clear vision, and deliver results
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to manage complexity/ambiguity and multiple initiatives
• Ability to be hands on as well as coach teams in developing analytic capabilities and tools
• Demonstrated ability to manage remotely located teams in India and the US

Grade/Level: 13

The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements: • You must be 18 years or older • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act. • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
