Job description: Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 serves nearly 15,500 students in preschool through grade 12 and is located halfway between Chicago, Illinois, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan. The District has one early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools, and a high school program divided between two 9 ? 12th grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park, and Park City.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide guidance for teachers in implementing the Reading and Math Programs
2. Open the building for each session and make sure the facility is ready
3. Supervise every aspect of the programs for smooth operation
4. Close and secure the building each session
5. Monitor attendance of students
6. Demonstrate initiative for recognizing and resolving issues, concerns, or problems
7. Conduct classroom visits to ensure implementation of curriculum
8. Represent the District in a professional and supportive manner
9. Complete and maintain all required records
10. Distribute materials needed for instruction, provide Professional Development on programs, provide a check out list to teachers, conduct an inventory of supplies and materials, and return any materials to the EL Program Department at Lincoln Center at the end of the program
11. Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
The ideal candidate would have strengths in communication skills, both written and verbal, is self-motivated and a great team leader with creativity and problem-solving skills. Must coordinate the program.
Qualifications:
1. Must have a valid Illinois Administrative Certificate Type 75, (Bilingual Certification and/or ESL endorsement preferred)
2. Experience working in an Elementary setting for the Elementary position and High School experience if working for the High School
Salary: $40 per hour/5.5 hours per session
Dates: October 3, 2023 - May 9, 2024
2 days a week for 1.5 hours per day, 3 hours per week
