POSITION: DESIGN MEDIA & PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR ? Forsyth County Campus, Day & Evening Classes
REPORTS TO: Dean of Advanced Technology and Engineering
COMPENSATION: Paid by the course
EFFECTIVE: Immediately
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision:
- Develops program and course outlines, goals and objectives
- Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited courses
- Evaluates students? progress in attaining goals and objectives, submits midterm grade reports, final grade reports
- Maintains program certification requirements, as appropriate
- Prepares and maintains all other required documentation and administrative reports
- Completes ALL required institutional trainings
- Ensures that safety and security requirements are met in the training area
This position will serve to support our Design Media & Production program at the Forsyth campus in Cumming, GA. Classes generally meet 2 days per week (Monday ? Thursday), in the evening (6pm) timeframe, include lab activities and some online activities outside the classroom. Courses include:
- Introduction to Design
- Vector Graphics
- Raster Imaging
- Page Layout
- Production Photography
- Promotional Design
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate?s degree in design media & production, or closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university, with appropriate coursework that demonstrates competencies in specific course content. Credentials must satisfy all appropriate accrediting agencies. Must have at least three years of related work experience.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and professional attire.
- Ability to supervise students in the classroom.
- Ability to develop and evaluate daily lesson plans.
- Ability to direct and assess students? progress in achieving required competencies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to minimum qualifications and competencies):
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) language skills is a plus
- More than three (3) years of related work experience
