Director of Mergers and Acquisitions This opportunity lies within a rapidly expanding, multi-site provider/healthcare group, backed by Private Equity and positioned for exceptional growth. The organization is actively forming an M&A team to drive its inorganic growth initiatives. As a highly acquisitive sponsor with a focus on substantial M&A volume, this role will report directly to the Chief... Growth Officer. Geography: This is a northeast based company but candidates can be located anywhere on the eastern half of the country and be permanent remote. Responsibilities: Â Provide robust support to the Corporate M&A function, focusing on: Â Driving overall business development activities in collaboration with the executive team. Â Implementing an acquisition strategy plan and roadmap aligned with long-term business strategies and capabilities. Â Establish an objective, consistent, and disciplined approach for evaluating potential acquisitions and business combinations. Â Analyze addressable markets, collaborating with business unit leaders and functional specialists to develop and update strategies. Â Actively identify and source acquisition targets, cultivating relationships with brokers and building a deal pipeline in line with the Company's strategic objectives. Â Present the company's story to the marketplace, establishing rapport and credibility with business owners. Â Develop a business case and/or valuation model for each potential transaction. Â Identify and quantify synergy opportunities with potential acquisitions, creating action plans for post-close synergies. Â Lead M&A transactions through cross-functional due diligence, leveraging integration planning inputs for successful integration. Â Gather critical information regarding risks and opportunities for ongoing M&A activities, translating insights into well-reasoned valuations and structural impacts. Â Regularly interact with third-party advisors (legal, financial, tax, consultants). Â Assist in structuring and negotiating deals, collaborating with the CEO to gain Board approval. Â Lead and coordinate post-acquisition integration initiatives to ensure a successful "first 90-days" post-close. Qualifications: Â Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred. Â 5-7+ years of results-oriented work experience in a similar role, including corporate development, private equity, and investment banking. Â Ability to model and synthesize complex financial analysis, operational, and KPI data into concise presentations and decision frameworks regularly. Â Experience leading M&A reviews and executions, analyzing business proposals, conducting due diligence, and structuring transactions. Â Background in corporate development, strategy, or business development functions. Â Strong analytical skills, with an extreme attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability, balanced with sound business judgment. Â Proven experience in financial modeling, valuation, and presenting to an investment committee. Â Strong Board presentation skills, including the development of PowerPoint presentations. Â Excellent professional written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Â
