Responsibilities...
• Support classroom teachers in delivering individualized instruction and implementing educational plans.
• Assist students with special needs in both academic and social settings.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support, adapting teaching methods to meet students' needs.
• Monitor and document student progress, communicating findings to teachers and parents.
• Help manage classroom behavior, promoting a positive and productive learning environment.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families.

Qualifications: • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree or higher is preferred. • Experience: Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly with special needs students. • Certification: Must meet Massachusetts Paraprofessional requirements, including one of the following: • A passing score on the ParaPro Assessment. • An Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited institution. • Completion of at least two years of college coursework (48 credit hours or more). • Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work well in a team, patience, and flexibility. • Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and any additional district-specific screenings.
