Schedule
 Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Mountain Time)
Work Environment
 Remote/Work from Home options are available for residents of Idaho and Washington.
Key Responsibilities
 Assign codes for diagnoses and procedures using the appropriate classification systems for all patient classes.
 Accurately assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and ICD-10-CM/CPT4 procedure codes following coding principles.
 Ensure that codes accurately reflect patients' comorbidities and complications.
 Abstract data from medical records and conduct audits to verify coding and grouping accuracy.
 Collaborate with the billing department to address and correct any coding and billing claim errors.
Requirements
 High School diploma or equivalent; AssociateÂs Degree required; BachelorÂs Degree preferred.
 Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or coding certification (CCS or CPC) is required.
 A minimum of one (1) year of coding experience with ICD-10 and CPT is essential.
 Knowledge of Rural Health Clinic (RHC) and Critical Access Hospital (CAH) standards, as well as state medical record requirements, is preferred.
