Role summary:
The Account Specialist Siteworks with new and existing small to medium potential inside accounts to grow and retain their business. Account Specialists Site engage customers remotely by phone, video, and digital communication to build and maintain relationships with key buying influences to expand sales into new lines of business as well as facilitating introductions to our category experts for more complex business needs. A typical work week consists of both inbound and outbound customer engagement activities as well working with internal teams to create a great customer experience.
What youÂll be doing:
 Establish strong relationships with high-potential customers via phone, video, and/or digital correspondence to drive incremental sales growth and customer retention
 Execute on short and long-term strategic plans to grow sales, margin, and membership program sales within an assigned book of business
 Leverage partnerships with various internal partners to drive growth and ensure customer satisfaction, including Category Sales Specialists, Sales Operations, and Customer Service Teams
 Use Professional Selling Skills (PSS) to identify customer needs and develop a value-added proposition, proposal, and pricing
 Oversee pricing negotiations and influence on-the-spot pricing decisions to cultivate a seamless customer experience
 Consistently meet activity goals and daily metrics - outbound dials, sell time, and live contacts
 Uncover opportunities and manage the sales funnel to close opportunities
 Set your schedule, maintain a calendar of appointments with customers, and participate in all company objectives and team activities
 Manage, retain, and maintain a book of customer accounts
 Maintain revenue through proactive outbound phone calls to assigned accounts
 Ensure retention by building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers
 Engage with customers to uncover and win new opportunities, discuss promotions and/or campaigns
 Leverage key partners to maintain overall sales in all categories
 Sell Staples membership programs
What you bring to the table:
 Strong phone presence
 Strong time management skills
 Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships
 Ability to sell company values and services, in addition to program features and benefits via phone and internet
 Ability to adapt to a fast-paced organization
 Account management experience (preferred)
 Solution-oriented, self-starter, and results-oriented
 Proven ability to meet or exceed incremental sales and gross profit goals - growing sales and margin within the current customer base
 Adaptable to change
 Coachable, able to incorporate feedback
 Ability to work in a team sales environment
 Industry knowledge (a plus)
 Strong organization and time management skills
WhatÂs needed- Basic Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent related experience  High school diploma  1+ years of experience in a sales, customer service, or a sales support position
