About Us:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to join our team. In this role, you will work with K-12 students across Georgia, delivering high-quality instruction and support tailored to their unique needs in a virtual setting.
Key Responsibilities: Â Develop and deliver individualized educational plans (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Â Provide engaging, accessible instruction aligned with Georgia state standards and each studentÂs learning goals. Â Utilize various technologies and resources to enhance virtual teaching and facilitate communication, such as ASL (if applicable), captioning tools, and visual aids. Â Collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and families to support student learning and ensure accommodations are effectively implemented. Â Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies to meet their needs. Â Advocate for the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students within the school community. Â Stay updated on best practices and legal requirements related to special education and deaf education.
Qualifications: Â BachelorÂs or MasterÂs degree in Deaf Education or Special Education. Â Valid Georgia teaching certification in Deaf Education. Â Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred but not required. Â Experience working with deaf and hard of hearing students, in a K-12 setting. Â Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and technology tools for remote teaching. Â Strong communication and collaboration skills. Â Passion for creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment for all students.
