International Medical Collections Manager

The International Medical Collections Manager is responsible for obtaining reimbursement from international patients and insurance companies for outstanding hospital invoices. This role requires fluency in English and a second language, along with a strong understanding of the revenue cycle process. Responsibilities
 Collect medical invoices from insurance companies and international patients.

 Make outbound calls and send written correspondence to insurance/patients.

 Negotiate quick payments and higher settlements with insurers and patients using industry knowledge.

 Apply revenue cycle knowledge to set priorities and manage workload effectively.

 Meet monthly billing and collection targets set by management.
,
 Consistently meet key performance indicators to ensure productivity.
,
 Obtain payments from uninsured patients.
,
 Develop relationships with international insurance companies to resolve invoices successfully.
,
 Maintain accurate records of all account activity.
,
 Understand the entire international medical billing and collection process.
,
 Comply with relevant legislation such as HIPAA and FDCPA.
Requirements
 Fluency in English and a second language.
,
 At least 5 years of experience in medical billing/collections, preferably in a managerial role.
,
 2 years of experience in the medical billing/collections revenue cycle.
,
 High level of integrity and self-management skills.
,
 Ability to manage time effectively and set priorities independently.
,
 Good understanding of different cultures and geography outside of the USA.
,
 Excellent customer service and telephone skills.
,
 Problem-solving and negotiation skills.
,
 Attention to detail.
Nice-to-haves
 Experience in Spanish language is preferred.
