UKG/Kronos Lead Payroll Implementation

The team requires an experienced UKG Pro Lead/PM to drive strategy, manage deliverables, and guide the project team most of whom have only ADP experience and need support in transitioning to a cloud-based payroll system.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Strategy

Act as an extension of the Project Manager, driving efficiency and ensuring project alignment.
Lead key project workstreams, facilitating discussions and decision-making.
Define and communicate the future state of payroll operations, guiding the team in transitioning from ADP EV5 to UKG Pro.

Payroll Implementation & Process Definition

Lead the design and future-state payroll process definition.
Develop and refine payroll checklists and operational workflows.
Validate earnings, deductions, memo codes translation, and taxation setup.

Testing & Validation

Oversee and participate in unit testing, functional testing, and UAT.
Conduct and support three rounds of parallel testing before go-live.
Ensure accurate data validation across Workday (core employee data), WFN (time & attendance), and UKG Pro (payroll processing).

Stakeholder Communication & Leadership

Build meeting agendas, drive project meetings, and ensure timelines & deliverables are met.
Work cross-functionally with Payroll, HR, IT, and third-party vendors to resolve challenges.
Provide training and guidance to team members unfamiliar with UKG Pro and cloud-based payroll systems.

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in Payroll and HRIS system implementations.
Strong expertise in UKG Pro Payroll implementation and configuration.
Hands-on experience with payroll process definition, taxation, and earnings/deductions validation.
Proven ability to lead teams through major payroll system transformations.
Experience driving testing efforts (unit, functional, UAT, parallel testing).
