Business Development Manager - Aerospace & Defense - Mid Atlantic Region - Remote
Posted 2025-04-06About the Role: We are looking for an energetic Field Sales Associate to join our Aerospace & Defense Market Team in our Performance Solutions Division. This Associate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities and growing profitable revenues at strategic and key customers in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Teamwork with Field Sales, Technical Associates and Product Teams will be critical to the success of this commitment. T his role will cover the Mid-Atlantic region; candidate must reside in this region or surrounding areas. This is a remote position and you can work from home in most locations in the Mid-Atlantic or surrounding areas.
Pay and Benefits:
 $95,000 - $147,000 per year
 Roles above $150k are eligible for the variable pay program each fiscal year, based on defined business performance metrics.
 Factors considered in extending an offer within this pay range include (but not limited to) education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities
 Sell and promote Gore products and capabilities to targeted customers, expanding current product sales as well as introducing them to new products
 Support division metrics and growth goals by number and quality of new opportunities
 Move opportunities through the sales funnel achieving product wins
 Develop strong relationships with customer leadership, including key technology & buying influencers
 Investigate customer requirements for product applications
 Partner with internal business stakeholders to identify and develop sales and marketing opportunities within the Aerospace & Defense market
 Resolve customer problems
 Provide accurate and evergreen sales forecasts using established sales tools
 Develop and maintain effective and efficient territory and account plans to meet growth objectives
Required Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree  Minimum 3 years technical sales experience  Current and valid driver's license  Experience working across all functions internally such as technical support and supply chain  Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical value externally and business value with application details internally  Strong desire to grow professionally, adapt to an ever-changing environment and coachable  Engage and able to leverage technical understanding and ability to explore and identify adjacencies and new opportunities  Ability to self-lead including the prioritization of sales and project activities, with strong organizational skills  Ability to manage several large opportunities simultaneously, work with a number of different salespeople and product teams  Ability to travel up to 40% overnight
Desired Qualifications:  Engineering Degree (mechanical or electrical)  Minimum 3 years experience in the defense industry  Experience in wire and cable products/applications
