Key Responsibilities
 Oversee the financial operations for a portfolio of nonprofit clients, delivering comprehensive accounting solutions.
 Act as the outsourced Controller/CFO for various nonprofit organizations.
 Prepare financial reports for management and board presentations.
 Recommend and implement improvements to internal controls, operational procedures, and compliance policies.
 Manage crucial transactional activities including accounts payable/receivable, revenue recognition, payroll, and reconciliations.
 Conduct month-end close processes and maintain financial documentation.
 Perform financial analysis, including budgeting and forecasting.
 Lead grant management processes and prepare funder reports.
 Facilitate preparation for and management of annual audits.
 Provide training for clients and staff to ensure adherence to financial best practices.
Required Skills
 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
 At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within nonprofit or public accounting.
 Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with QuickBooks or other General Ledger software.
 Capable of managing multiple clients independently in a remote or hybrid setting.
 Previous experience in nonprofit accounting and financial consulting is advantageous but not mandatory.
 CPA certification is considered a plus.
 Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are beneficial.
 Strong interpersonal skills to foster client relationships while working collaboratively in a team environment.
