Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the financial operations for a portfolio of nonprofit clients, delivering comprehensive accounting solutions.
• Act as the outsourced Controller/CFO for various nonprofit organizations.
• Prepare financial reports for management and board presentations.
• Recommend and implement improvements to internal controls, operational procedures, and compliance policies.
• Manage crucial transactional activities including accounts payable/receivable, revenue recognition, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Conduct month-end close processes and maintain financial documentation.
• Perform financial analysis, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Lead grant management processes and prepare funder reports.
• Facilitate preparation for and management of annual audits.
• Provide training for clients and staff to ensure adherence to financial best practices.

Required Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within nonprofit or public accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with QuickBooks or other General Ledger software.
• Capable of managing multiple clients independently in a remote or hybrid setting.
• Previous experience in nonprofit accounting and financial consulting is advantageous but not mandatory.
• CPA certification is considered a plus.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster client relationships while working collaboratively in a team environment.
