Family Peer Support Specialist

Description:
• Provides direct Family Peer Support services to member's guardians, caregivers, and care team
• Provides guidance to SKY initiatives
• Guides, coaches, and mentors others in recovery
• Assists in understanding social determinants of health impacting member’s health and treatment plans
• Encourages member participation in wellness and recovery activities at their own pace
• Executes routine and non-routine business support tasks for the Peer Support area under limited supervision

Requirements: • Certification in or eligibility to become certified as a KY Family Peer Support Specialist • Must reside in The Lakes Region: Fulton, Hickman, Carlisle, Ballard, Graves, McCracken, Calloway, Marshall, Livingston, Lyon, Trigg, Crittenden, Caldwell, Hopkins, Christian, Muhlenberg, Todd • Ability to travel up to 33% of the time • Must be 18 years of age or older • Be a self-identified parent or family member with lived experience with a client who has received services related to a mental health, substance use, or co-occurring mental health and substance use disability • Have successfully completed KFLA training approved by the department • Successfully complete KFPSS core competency training approved by the department or receive training waiver for this requirement
