Primary Responsibilities:  Support a broad range of quantitative analysis to inform the design, implementation, and evaluation of Medicare and Medicaid demonstration waivers  Work with complex large-scale data sets from multiple systems of origin including Medicare, Medicaid, and CHIP enrollment and claims; patient satisfaction and survey data  Apply a variety of statistical methodologies including multivariate modeling (ITS, DiD, Logistic), microsimulation, and machine learning techniques to support the evaluation of health care policy  Write effective and efficient code using best practice quality control procedures  Support the development of detailed specifications and documentation of data processing and analytical steps  Support tasks (e.g., summarizing findings, developing data visualizations) related to report and presentation preparation  Maintain a consistently high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks  Work effectively and cooperatively as a member of a project team YouÂll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:  1+ years of experience using SAS (including macro processing and Proc SQL), R, Python, or SQL in a research, consulting, academic, or business environment  Experience working with healthcare claims and enrollment data  Proven excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate analyses and findings Preferred Qualifications:  Academic coursework in statistics or econometric modeling  Experience conducting statistical analysis to inform health policy  Experience with databases having complex structures and relationships, such as the Integrated Data Repository, Chronic  Experience with other software such as Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VBA)  Conditions Warehouse, or similar data environment  Proficient in analyzing large datasets using SAS grid and other parallel processing techniques  All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth GroupÂs Telecommuter Policy California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $70,200 to $137,800 annually.
