The Registered Nurse (RN) in Radiation Oncology at TidalHealth is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans within the Oncology Clinic. This role emphasizes patient advocacy, direct care, and education for patients and their families, ensuring they are informed about significant self-care issues. The RN will utilize their technical skills and nursing procedures to provide high-quality care in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
 Develop and implement patient care plans utilizing ANA Standards and the Nursing Process.

 Act as a patient advocate and provide direct care to patients.

 Educate patients and families on self-care issues related to oncology treatment.

 Utilize equipment and technology skillfully in the clinic setting.

 Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care plans and make necessary adjustments.
Requirements
 Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland or an approved reciprocal state.

 Completion of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Radiation Therapy Certificate Course preferred within 1 year of hire/transfer.

 National Oncology Certification (OCN) preferred, to be obtained within 3 years of hire/transfer.
